BAZINGA! My new MacStickrs just got here!

This morning I received my super cool MacStickrs! No, I haven’t misspelled that. It is MacStickrs without the e.

What are MacStickrs?

They are very discreet MacBook decals. They are so discreet that they are perfect even for Mac Purists (crazy people that can’t have a single defect such as a scratch, or spec of dirt on their Mac) like my self. Being a Mac Purist, I don’t like sticking things on my MacBook Pro. Large Mac decals interfere with my piece of mind and affect my Mac Zen, but the MacStickrs are just perfect!

So, this morning they arrived from Latvia. They arrived FAST! I requested them 3 working days ago and bam they got here. Everything from the envelope to the packaging to the actual product is such a joy to look at! Just look at the pictures I shot of the two stickers I chose, and you will understand my point. Apple’s ‘Back to the Mac’ event LIVE Blogs

Media_httpwwwblogcdnc_durcq

Tonight is the night that Apple will unveil the next Operating System called OS X Lion! Well that is what we all think will happen and what we think it will be called. See the image above, well I think that says it all.

Also, this event will be focused on the Mac which is something that all us Mac fan boys and girls have been waiting for for so long. It seems as though it has been all about iOS, iPhone and iPad lately.

So hopefully we will be seeing a bunch of new line Macs, MacBooks and OS X! Hopefully they will be released very soon because as I mentioned in a previous post of mine on http://spyros.posterous.com/i-cant-seem-to-get-the-macbook-pro-17-out-of I need a NEW Mac and I need it to be FAST and BEAUTIFUL! I am sick of the Rainbow icon on my MacBook

For the last week or so, my MacBook has been stalling on me all the time! I have tried unplugging all external drives, I have tried opening one program at a time but I still get that Rainbow twirly icon for long periods, some times as long as 15-20 minutes. They occur every day, at random moments and nothing works! When I say nothing I mean nothing! My system freezes, or goes so slow that it seems like frozen… Once the long wait is over, my MacBook works like a Spitfire again! Then, after maybe one hour, or 30 mins, or the next day, nobody knows, it will stall on me again!

I asked around at the office and one more guys has the same problem. We both don’t know what is going on!!!
Has this happened to you and if yes, have you found a way to fix it?

I run Snow Leopard and I am using the Aluminum MacBook with 4GB of RAM.

Cheers!!!

Snow Leopard Black Screen not showing up any more

Since I upgraded to the latest Snow Leopard update, I seem to have been liberated from that black screen that showed up at least once a day on my MacBook OSX. It seems that the new update solved many issues and my MacBook is running smooth!
So if you haven’t updated, I highly recommend that you do. It is a MUST DO update unless you are running a Hackintosh and in that case you should know that if you update you will not be able to run OSX any more on your Intel Atom computer.

Cheers

Great product by Twelve South. The BookArc

I just received mine and I am loving it! My MacBook fan has stopped making noises (better cooling) and my desk looks much nicer. Plus I have the CD slot in front and I don’t need to twist my arm each time I need to insert a disk into my MacBook. Working in clamshell mode (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3131?viewlocale=en_US) with the Apple 24” Led Cinema Display, has made my day!

Highly recommended if you are both into mobility and a comfortable desk alternative! Check it out.

Wifi suddenly stopped working on my MacBook unibody

Dear All,

I have had my MacBook for 6 months and it has worked just great with my WiFi network and any other WiFi I have happened to connect it to. This morning, while I was downloading some files, my internet connection died on me. At 1st I thought it was my provider and I usually fix that by restarting my Router. I did that, but nothing happened. I can detect and connect to my WiFi but I have no internet access! My wife’s PC and mobile phone connect perfectly well to my WiFi and so does my iPhone!!! My MacBook now only works with ETHERNET…

Let me add that I have the 13.3″ MacBook unibody running the latest Leopard 10.5.8. software upgrades. These are my MacBook characteristics:

  • Model Name: MacBook
  • Model Identifier: MacBook5,1
  • Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
  • Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz
  • Number Of Processors: 1
  • Total Number Of Cores: 2
  • L2 Cache: 3 MB
  • Memory: 2 GB
  • Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz

Does anybody know what is going on?!? What has happened!?!
Cheers!
