I just don’t get it

For the last 10′ my Vodafone 3G connection will only let me send and receive emails and browse the web from my iPhone Safari browser. All other access to the web via the iPhone apps is blocked… How can this be? Does Vodafone block only the apps for a small amount of time leaving browsing and email available? This is very weird indeed. Has this ever happened to you?

Anyway it is good I can post to Posterous via mail. At least I can get my voice out there.

    Have you checked Settings>General>Network>Cellular Data Network>APN? Does it say “internet.vodafone.gr”. If not, change it. I’ve had occasions when this value was reset to “web.vodafone.gr” or something similar, but that causes problems for some programs.

    It’s the first thing I check now, whenever I have 3G connection problems. Dunno why Vodafone doesn’t fix this once and for all.
